Robin, has clearly ditched the men in tights look. Meggings may have been all the rage in medieval Sherwood, but I’m still not loving it. It’s pushing skinny jeans to a place they need not go.
This on the other hand is obviously a very wise sartorial update for the outlaws of Sherwood forest. Looking stylish and doing good deeds is a win/win situation in my eyes. So am off to join the merry men, though we may have to discuss this whole living in the woods thing first.

Through all the doom and gloom of the winter months, one thing has kept me going. An every burgeoning boot fetish. Its becoming more than a little bit of an obsession. Trouble is Winter only lasts so long and well….oh like I care how long winter really lasts. You can never have too many shoes or boots. EVER!
So having established this, can I get them please?? Look how practical they are in the snow! Which am sure we’ll be getting more of soon.

So I know my wishlist is longer than a queue at Argos returns on Boxing Day but can we tack these bad boys on to it please. They may need to go somewhere high on the wishlist as its getting cold, and I suspect these may be a the shoe version of a gansaí nollaig (Christmas Jumper)
Love them and they look super warm. Besides even though I may well be wearing a check shirt right now isn’t time we moved the pattern on a bit. To boots maybe? Trousers no, but boots I definitely think we can do.

Quite simply a failure for these to be delivered to my home or office is a crime.
To be honest I am definitely still all over the big boot thing, like gravy on a Sunday Roast. But I think the need to be even bigger. Having said that I will obviously accept these with great courtesy from whoever sends them my way.
Or these….you could send me these too.

I soo should not want these…but look how epicly cool they are!!

As is fairly well documented here I am ever so slightly a fan of Burberry and the work of Mr Bailey. Here are this coming winters boots. The trend for tucking jeans into boots is going to continue this winter, and with these boots to show off you would be mad not.
As my current budget is somewhat meagre am just going to have to hope and pray I either win the lottery (entering may be a start), get a mahousive payrise, find a wealthy benefactor or wait and shamelessly sell my soul when Aldo or Topman produce an inspired by boot. Lets hope they don’t take to long to do this.

So I’ve finally found sometime this week to start blogging about a fashion week that closed yesterday. I’m rubbish I know, but that’ll teach me to save the images to my works computer and then get ridiculously busy at work.
Anyway, here are some of my favourite looks from Burberry. The military look is clearly going to be huge next Winter as it has cropped up on several catwalks this season. The jeans into boots look which has already been making tentative steps into the mainstream on the street is also going to be massive next season. To be fair with the shearling boots above there is no reason not to. They are gorgeous and very high up on my wishlist. (Note to self get to know some press or PR peeps that can borrow them for me)
As for the coats the first two and last one were my absolute favourites. This return to masculinity should be welcomed by all. I absolutely love the Double Breasted winter coat, and have been wearing my Paul Costelloe & Margaret Howell ones to death this winter. The shearling long aviator coat is fantastic and if next winter is anything like this one will be an absolute godsend.
The suit is clean, and sharp though I would expect nothing less from Christopher Bailey. I particularly like the shift in dimension of lapel and collar, both still narrow but I think creating a point of difference form the super skinny we’ve been seeing lately. The trousers are also on the slim side but not thankfully ball bustingly spray on which will be a relief to any of us with thighs and calves.
I pretty much adore the whole of this collection and am wondering how much of a spanking my cards will be able to bare next winter.

Yesterdays recommendation from the amazing Fantastic Man blog, which has great and individual recommendations everyday.
In this inclement weather however, these boots are a genius buy. Not only do they look great but they are completely waterproof and will last years. Having grown up sailing in Ireland, and being mates with Ross O’Carroll Kelly loike (90s Dublin School in joke) Dubarry shoes in all shapes and sizes were massive.
These boots however stand head and shoulders above the crowd, not are the practically indestructible but also look great. Perfect not just for walking but also for getting on and off boats and looking good in the pub that evening with a nice hot whiskey. Congrats to Fantastic Man for spotting this brilliant Irish company and recommending them to the world.
