Pitti // Accessories // WANT!!!!

GQ like any decent men’s magazine is currently deep in Pitti. They’ve found this bag, I am now debating exactly how low I’m willing to let my morals slip to obtain said item. People who know me, know they dont have far to fall anyway, I’m not sure whether this makes the bag easier or harder to get.

The ever expanding range of Pantone products has now extended to postcards. AMAZING! Forget photos of whatever place you were on holiday (I’m jealous enough already), forget vintage photos with witty captions (seriously I’ve seen it before), this is ridiculously cool. Perfect for scribbling a little thank you for a gift, dinner or the like.

Actually that’s not a bad idea, grabbing a collection of beautiful postcards to send as thank you notes. We should do this kind of thing more.

Trouble is once I’ve bought this box I don’t know if I could part with them, and what colours do you send to what people. Is crimson appropriate way to thank your gran for that birthday present? Should I colour match the card to the hideous socks I’ve been given? Perhaps a brilliant orange will best describe the glorious sunset I just saw above the beach on holiday?

I dont really care, I just want to have this little box of loveliness at on my coffee table.

So I know my wishlist is longer than a queue at Argos returns on Boxing Day but can we tack these bad boys on to it please. They may need to go somewhere high on the wishlist as its getting cold, and I suspect these may be a the shoe version of a gansaí nollaig (Christmas Jumper) Love them and they look super warm. Besides even though I may well be wearing a check shirt right now isn’t time we moved the pattern on a bit. To boots maybe? Louis Vuitton Menswear Its not very often I get near palpitations over a weekend bag, but seriously look at this! Actually don’t! This bag is so beautiful you’ll be trapped staring at your screen for the rest of the day like a Vuitton Narcissus.  I may actually have to re-examine my scale of want just for this bag. Genuinely if someone offered me either this or the Burberry flight jacket I’d be torn. Gone are the days of the monogram replaced by a stark masculine V. Everything about this bag screams luxury, but in a whisper. Thanks to 00o00 for the heads up. ps If someone were to offer me a choice, I would clearly pick this, then stuff the Burberry jacket into the bag before scampering away laughing manicly. High-res

So impractical, but I love it, I want it, and I want the confidence to rock it.  Mens accessories can on occasion be so stayed and dull that when something like this jumps out at you people either run and hide or lap it up. It doesnt take a psychic to figure out which side of the fence I fall on. If you’re looking for exciting mens accessories that are a smidgen more accessible I do however recommend Hannah Martin. She made our wedding bands and her combinations of rock star styling and superb craftsmanship set her apart from most. Check out her site and get saving. She’ll be around for a while and working with the like of Terry Richardson she’s only going to get bigger. I’ll do a post about her work on its own soon.  neonico: Column Collar.
